Week 6
Happy Fall!
It’s officially fall! The change of seasons has brought us beautiful weather and lots of opportunities for exploring outside. Several of our classes did projects with leaves, which have already begun changing and falling around our campus! You’ll find lots of wonderful pictures from our week below.
As the weather gets cooler, please be sure to send your students with warmer clothes to keep in their cubbies and on their hooks! A sweater or hoodie is a great thing to have handy on a surprisingly cool day.
We are still seeing occasional cases of COVID, and our test-to-stay program has been useful in identifying transmission and keeping healthy children who’ve been exposed at school. If you have not already returned a permission to test form, please do so–you’ll find it in the links below. This allows us to perform a rapid test at school if a child is sick, or if we learn of an exposure. Many of you have had these rapid tests go home with your students at different times, and may have noticed that they are much less invasive than the tests from early in the pandemic, and only require a shallow swab.
Next week we will hold our first Citizen Scholar Awards. Each classroom in Jr K and above recognizes a student for exhibiting the virtue of the month. This month we have been talking about fairness. Parents of award recipients will be notified and invited to attend our brief ceremony on the 28th, along with all our students.
Our first PTC meeting is scheduled for Thursday, October 6th. You’ll find more info below, and we hope to see you there!
