Week 5
Big thanks to Jennifer Leopold for her gardening work and the lovely plants adorning our school entrance.
Dear PWA Families,
Week 5 was a lot of fun! We observed International Dot Day with art projects galore and science projects as well. Our students wore some pretty creative outfits–and so did our teachers! We also enjoyed beautiful weather this week, so students got lots of outside time to take a break from their classwork.
Next week, we’ll welcome new 1st/2nd-grade teacher Hanane Saissi, and we’re so excited to have her with us. We’d also like to welcome the new students who will be joining that classroom! We’re so thankful to be open and able to provide the option for in-person school to those families who need it. We can’t wait to welcome you all to PWA!
Fall is coming quickly, and all the usual infirmities that come with it–colds, flu, allergies, and fevers–will still be around. We want to express our appreciation to those of you who’ve kept your children home with sniffles and colds–and their siblings too, when one child is sick. We also thank you for having children tested for COVID-19 when they’re ill. We know this vigilance is a hardship, but it’s what’s required of all us to have our children in school. We appreciate you, parents!
Have a delightful weekend, families!
Our current lunch menu and lunch packets can always be found in the buttons at the end of each weekly email. The lunch menu is also directly below.
If you send your child to school with lunch, please remember that we are an entirely nut-free school.
The 30-day grace period for getting a school physical is almost up…so if your child hasn’t gotten one yet, now is the time! Please contact the office if you have any questions. You’ll find the school entrance health form in the links at the bottom of this email.
Our Distance Learning Support classroom is up and running, and we’d appreciate your help in spreading the word! We welcome students attending any PWCS–we get them online and help them with their meetings and school work while providing a safe and fun environment for them. If you know someone who might be interested, please let them know about us!
