Week 8

Don’t forget–Monday, October 11th is our first Teacher Workday of the year, and we will be entirely closed for both school and childcare so that all of our teachers may participate in professional development. We hope you all enjoy the long weekend!

What a beautiful week we had! The leaves are changing color around the school, and the weather stayed warm and gave us lots of opportunities for outdoor projects and recreation.

Monday October 11th is our first teacher workday of the year. Please note that we will be entirely closed, with no childcare available, so that all our teachers can participate in professional development. We will reopen as usual on Tuesday morning!

We’re also gearing up for our Fall Festival at the end of the month. We’ll have fun activities for students of all ages. If you’d like to volunteer, please send an email to the office and let us know. We’ll also reach out later in the month to ask for donations of snack items and water bottles for the event.

The PTC is planning a Trunk-n-Treat event on the evening of the Fall Festival (October 29th). Participants will decorate their car trunks and provide candy so students can enjoy a spooky and socially-distanced opportunity to trick-or-treat! More information to come on this next week.

After a lengthy search for a new photo company, we’ve found one, and set our school picture day! School pictures will be taken on November 22nd. Please see below for more details.

Enjoy this long weekend, PWA families! We’ll see you Tuesday.
