The PWA Pumpkin Patch
Dear PWA Families,
We had such a great week learning, with our monthly Principal’s Scholar Awards on Wednesday–congratulations to all our recipients for “Compassion.” We capped off the week with our Fall Festival today. The costumes were terrific, and the kids really enjoyed the chance to show them off! We played games in the gym, had a costume parade, and had individual class dance parties in our party room. Below you’ll find loads of pictures. It was great to let loose a little and focus on having fun together!
Thanks so much to those of you who donated snacks and water–they were much appreciated by all. And huge thanks to all our teachers, who joined wholeheartedly in the festivities and made this day special for their students.
This Tuesday, November 3rd is Election Day, and we won’t hold regular school. However, childcare will be available, and if you’d like to send your child in please email us at office@princewilliamacademy.com so we can put them on the list for that day and plan accordingly. Our teachers will be here for a teacher workday, and some have scheduled their parent/teacher conferences for that day. Virtual conferences will be held throughout the week according to the schedule your child’s teacher sent.
Today marked the final day of the first grading period! Teachers will be busy next week inputting their grades, and report cards will be available via Chalkable on Friday, November 6th. You’ll receive login information and instructions for Chalkable next week.

We’ve scheduled our school picture day for Monday, November 16th! All students, infants and up, will have their pictures taken, and students Jr K and up should wear their school uniforms.
Pictures are being taken by LifeTouch this year, and proofs will be available to view and purchase online within a day. Pictures purchased before the end of November should arrive before the winter holiday season. We’ll send out more information soon, but mark your calendars in the meantime! You’ll also find the PWA calendar in the buttons below.

Tuesday, November 3rd is election day, and a holiday here in Virginia. We will be closed for school that day, but open for childcare for those who need it.
