Week 9
Dear PWA Families,
It was a short week for most of our students, but no less busy for that! We opened a new classroom for our 4th and 5th graders and welcomed new students to our distance learning program as well. Our students worked hard on writing and vocabulary skills in all their classes; made art; conducted science experiments; studied Mandarin and Arabic and Spanish, and participated in dozens of other activities throughout the week. Thanks to all our fantastic teachers for the planning and preparation they put into each day of learning at PWA!
As winter approaches, we ask parents to subscribe to our text message alert system–you’ll find information on how to opt-in below. We use this system to send out alerts regarding weather-related changes to the school day and to share other need-to-know information. We do not use it for advertising purposes. We also send alerts out via email and on Facebook, but text alerts are the most efficient way to get the word out when needed, so please be sure to subscribe!

Our fall festival is coming up on October 30th! Students will participate in fun activities, including a pumpkin patch and relay races, and they may wear their Halloween costumes. We look forward to a fun-filled day!

If you send your child to school with lunch, please remember that we are an entirely nut-free school.
