Weekly Family Email
November 22nd, 2019
Week 14
We had a super week at school, and the highlight was our annual Thanksgiving Luncheon yesterday. Sincere thanks to all the families who attended, and to everyone who helped with setup, food service, and cleanup. Special thanks to parent Jon Sheffield, who helped with everything! Thanks also to our amazing Chef Veronica, and Mrs. Lindsay, our music teacher extraordinaire. We are truly fortunate in our school community! We hope you enjoyed the food and songs as much as we enjoyed sharing the day with you.
Next week will be a short one, with Thursday and Friday off for the Thanksgiving holiday. We look forward to hearing about family celebrations from all of our students when they return from the break. The weekly email will be sent on Wednesday evening that week.
Enjoy a lovely weekend, everyone!
The PTC is pleased to announce that we have raised $375.93 in proceeds so far this school year from our last two Spirit Night fundraisers (Paisano’s and Chuck E. Cheese). We appreciate our PWA families coming out to support the school.

It’s almost time for us to begin our annual gift card drive for our teachers! Each year, we ask parents to bring in a gift card from a popular retailer or restaurant (Amazon, Target, Panera, etc) worth $10 to donate to our annual gift card tree for our teachers. At our staff holiday breakfast, our staff members will each choose two gift cards.
We’ll start taking donations December 2nd at the front desk. Thank you for spreading holiday cheer to our amazing teachers and staff!
Our 1st – 3rd graders enjoyed a visit from Samar Omeish to talk about healthy eating, and to sample some delicious fruits and veggies. Thank you, Samar!

In preparation of the Thanksgiving holiday, I would like to share with you a wholesome recipe that is easy to make and satisfies all our taste buds.
Count this as one of your veggies for the day and rest assure it carries clean, flavorful ingredients that keep you coming back for more.
Enjoy!

Parents are encouraged to purchase lunch packets rather than single lunches–the price per lunch drops when you buy more at a time. If you want to purchase daily lunch for your child, the total cost is $80 per month.
