From all of us at PWA, heartfelt thanks to all who have served We had a fun and fruitful week at PWA, with lots of exciting science and art activities as we head towards Thanksgiving and observe Native American Heritage Month.
We are delighted to announce that PWA now has chapters for the National Elementary Honor Society and the National Junior Honor Society! These organizations recognize the academic and personal achievements of students in grades 4 through 8 at our school. More details are forthcoming, but in the meantime we are inviting any parents who wish to support these chapters and our students to email Dr. Slade here (mailto:sslade@princewilliamacademy.com?subject=National%20Honor%20Society) with an expression of interest.
PWA will be open on November 23rd, and closed the 24th and 25th for the Thanksgiving holiday. We know that many of our school families will be away that week, however, and we are looking ahead to plan our staffing and accommodate teacher vacations as well. The PTC invites parents from throughout the school to join its ranks and help plan fundraisers, school events, and improvement of technology at PWA. Please email Dr. Nykwest here (mailto:rnykwest@princewilliamacademy.com?subject=Interest%20in%20PTC) if you’re interested in joining our mailing list and participating in our next meeting on December 8th at 6 pm. We are currently planning a special winter event for our staff.
This Veterans Day, we offer special thanks and gratitude to the members of our school community who have served in our nation’s armed forces. We are proud to serve many military families at PWA, and are honored to count several veterans among our staff as well. We extend our sincere thanks to all of you for your service.
