Week 39
This week, warmer temperatures meant we had a chance to fully enjoy our completed playground! We’ve noticed parents and students enjoying it in the afternoons, too, and we’re so glad.
Only 5 weeks remain in this unusual school year! Our school testing will begin the week before Memorial Day in some classes, and will continue through the second week of June. Learning continues apace, however, and students who’ve finished their textbooks are getting a head start on their rising grade level materials!
Our Kindergartners took their cap and gown pictures today, so K parents should look for proofs in their children’s backpacks. It was so sweet to see them in their regalia, and we have included some fun pictures below.
Enrollment continues for the 2021-2022 school year, and for our Summer Enrichment Program. You can sign up for a week at a time or the whole summer. Our campers take math and language arts in the mornings, and do fun activities in the afternoons. Please be sure to contact Amanda Smyth (asmyth@princewilliamacademy.com?subject=Summer%20Enrichment%20Program) for more information!
Have a wonderful weekend, PWA families!
We hope our school families who celebrated this week had a wonderful Eid!
We are excited that vaccinations will soon lessen the need for masks in public spaces. However, schools remain the exception to this, and all students and school staff must continue to wear masks inside the building for the remainder of the school year. We will continue to require that parents wear masks when they approach the building as well, regardless of vaccination status. We thank you for your assistance with this!
Enrollment for our summer enrichment program is growing, but there is still time to save a spot! Parents can pick and choose weeks, or enroll for the whole summer.
Our mission every year is to combat summer learning loss with morning academics that reinforce content from the school year and advance students towards their rising grade level. In the afternoons, we put on fun activities including water play in our sprinklers, sports, field trips (socially distanced) arts and crafts, and more. Each week has a theme.
If you know any families who might be interested in our program, please help us spread the word. And of course, we hope to see you there!

Our current lunch menu and lunch packets can always be found in the buttons at the end of each weekly email. The lunch menu is also directly below.
If you send your child to school with lunch, please remember that we are an entirely nut-free school.
