Week 20
Happy New Year, PWA Families! We look forward to welcoming our students back to school next week, as we kick off International Month at school.
When you return to school on Monday, you’ll notice some work being done in the upper parking lot. We’ve begun several projects to improve our facilities, thanks to the Capital Investment Grant we received from the county. In the coming weeks, work will be done on the back parking lot and both playground structures as well.
While vaccines are hopefully on the horizon, Covid cases are still increasing around the country, and we will continue to diligently implement our protocols at school. We ask that you please monitor yourselves and your children closely for any signs of illness, especially if you traveled or visited with family and friends over the holiday break.
You’ll find the January lunch menu below.
We hope you enjoy the remaining days of the holiday break. Cheers to an exciting, peaceful, healthy, and prosperous 2021 for all of us!
As always, January is International Month at PWA! Throughout the month, we celebrate the world’s diversity by learning about different countries and cultures. Each class selects a country to study throughout the month and will learn about that country’s food, languages, dress, songs, geography, and traditions. We wrap up the month on International Day when the students share what they’ve learned with one another. We will keep you posted throughout the month as we devise plans to adapt our International Day celebration.
Our current lunch menu and lunch packets can always be found in the buttons at the end of each weekly email. The lunch menu is also directly below.
If you send your child to school with lunch, please remember that we are an entirely nut-free school.
