Weekly PWA Family Email
Week 13
November 16th, 2018

Well, this turned out to be an unexpectedly short week! But what a way to cap it off, with our annual Thanksgiving feast. Thanks to all the parents who came out and joined their children for this fun event, and to all the teachers and staff who helped with setup, cleanup, and serving the food.

And a special, heartfelt thanks to Chef Veronica, who organized and cooked this delicious feast, which included 9 turkeys, numerous sides, and desserts. We are so lucky to have her here at PWA. The meal was amazing!

Remember: November 20th is the day for make-up photos, sibling photos, class pictures, and the whole-school photo.

Also, please be sure to return your proofs and photo package choices by November 19th!

Thanks to all of you who purchased a ticket in support of the PTC’s objective of enhancing technology at PWA. The drawing took place today, and we’re thrilled to announce the winners:

The Gyenai Family: 1st Prize Raffle Basket
The Omeish/Bashagha Family: 2nd Prize $50 gift certificate to Taste of Tandoor
The Muffareh Family: 3rd Prize Candle Basket

Congratulations to you all! We hope you enjoy your prizes.

Third and fourth graders were introduced to Gustav Klimt, an Austrian painter. They began a project imitating his painting, “The Tree of Life.”

The Tuesday Jr. Kindergarten classes created their own works imitating Klimt’s painting using a continuous line to draw a fall tree.
