It’s finally here! Spring! We’re just a few short weeks away from warm weather….and only 2 weeks away from kicking off the fourth and final quarter of the academic year! Third quarter rogress reports will be available after April 3rd. And please take note: April 1st will be a regular school day!
Meanwhile, we had a productive week here. Students in the elementary and middle schools have been working on their science fair projects, and practicing for the upcoming Spring Concert, which will happen here at the school next Thursday, March 28th. See details below. Our Jr K students have been practicing as well. They also started some seedlings this week. Our 2s and 3s got lots of refreshing outdoor activity this week.
Our Principal’s Scholar Awards will be held next Wednesday at 9:50 am, This month’s theme is “Perseverance.”
The PTC Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser has been rescheduled to Saturday, March 30th. Tickets are available at the front desk for the very reasonable price of $5.00! They’ll also be for sale at the PTC table at the Spring Concert, and at the event itself on Saturday. This promises to be a fun event, and we hope to see you there. It also coincides with our Open House here at PWA, so it’s a great opportunity to bring friends and family along to see the school!

Our spring concert will take place on Thursday, March 28th! Jr K and Kindergarten will perform at 4:00 pm, and 1st-8th grade will go on at 5:00. We look forward to seeing you there!
** School Uniforms

Please remember that school uniforms are mandatory for students Jr K and above. Students may dress down on Fridays only. Monday through Thursday, they must wear school uniforms.
Older students may bring alternate clothes to wear during PE, but must change back into their uniforms afterwards.

Attention: Monday, April 1st will be a regular school day!
Sniffle season is still upon us, and tissues are in high demand around here! Please donate a box or two to your child’s classroom.
Ms. B has extended the deadline for experiment completion to April 1st. BOTH the report and the experiment results should be completed by that day.
We are still in need of volunteers to serve as judges for the Science Fair. If you don’t have a student on the elementary side, and have an interest in science, please consider signing up to be a judge!
Please note: the date of the Pancake Breakfast has been moved to Saturday, March 30th!!
Join us on March 30th in the school gym between 9:30 and 11:30 am for a home-cooked pancake breakfast! Tickets are available now at the front desk, and are $5.00 each. That $5.00 gets you two pancakes, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, and a cup of coffee or juice.
You can purchase your ticket in advance, or at the door on Saturday. We look forward to seeing you there!
Warm congratulations to the Jenks family, who welcomed a daughter earlier this month, and the Farough/Alemzadeh family, who welcomed a daughter this week. We’re so happy for you, and can wait to meet these precious babies!
Stephanie Cox, our fabulous art teacher, has put together a survey to ask parents their opinion on art classes, and to gauge interest in after school art activities and our upcoming art camps this summer. If your child is a rising Jr K student or older, please take a moment to give Ms. Cox some feedback! She’s been doing wonderfully fun and creative projects with the students this year, and we’re thankful to have her at PWA.
