Weekly Family Email
Week 33
April 5, 2019
Our students at all grade levels created some beautiful artwork this week! Our halls are full of vivid colors! And speaking of Art: if you haven’t already, please take our Art survey, which is meant to help us plan for next year, and gauge parental interest in offering art camp this summer!
Next week, we have our Science Fair, as well as School Beautification Day, on April 12th. Science Fair boards will be set up in the cafeteria in the afternoon, and will be available for parent viewing. Judging will take place the evening before, and during the day of the 12th. School Beautification Day schedules will go out next week. In the event of rain, this day will be rescheduled. We ask that parents send in veggie starts, herbs, or flowers for planting.
Progress reports are available on Chalkable! If you need a password, please contact the office for assistance.
Have a wonderful spring weekend, everyone!

Big thanks to everyone who attended the PTC’s Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser last weekend! We had a good turnout, and the food was great! Our students also enjoyed getting to use the library and playground on a Saturday.
Huge thanks to Shanna Gairy, Nicole Adkins, Amber Christopher, MarCia Anderson, Niketa Ward, and our chef, JaNeese and David Galloway, for putting together a wonderful communal event!
School beautification day is coming on April 12th! Schedules for individual classes will go home next week. Students will plant some of the seedlings they’ve germinated here at school, or plants from home. This year, our flowers are looking lovely, so we’re most in need of herbs and vegetable starts for our food gardens.
Our science fair season is coming to a close. Student boards should be completed by April 9th; judging will take place on April 12th!
We are still in need of volunteers to serve as judges for the Science Fair. If you don’t have a student on the elementary side, and have an interest in science, please consider signing up to be a judge! The judging can take place the afternoon of April 11th, or during the day on April 12th.
