Prince William Academy is pleased to announce the Dr. Samia Harris Math Scholarship for students in grades 5-8! The scholarship is for students who exhibit a strong aptitude for mathematics and demonstrate the ability to take advantage of our rigorous math program. As our founder and Executive Director Dr. Harris has always said, “math is power!”
Any students in grades 5 – 8 are welcome to participate in the initial assessment, which will take place on July 29th at 4:15 at Prince William Academy. To register, please send an email to Dr. Rebecca Nykwest at rnykwest@princewilliamacademy.com, and include your child’s name and grade level.
High performing students will be invited for an interview at the school, and may be offered admission with a scholarship of up to 50%. One scholarship will be offered at 100%. Scholarships will be effective throughout the students’ attendance at Prince William Academy, as long as they maintain an A average in all subjects.
PWA’s focuses on strong academics and small class sizes, with a tight-knit community where students learn free from the social pressures found in large middle schools. Our math teacher, Victor Bannerman, holds a Master’s Degree in Mathematics and is a licensed middle school math teacher. He loves helping students meet their potential!
