Week 42
June is here, and things have been very busy at PWA as we continue our end-of-year testing and prepare for the final weeks of school. The students have done an excellent job with testing and have taken it in stride–we’re proud of them, and of our teachers for preparing them well and making the process smooth.
Meanwhile, our preschool is growing fast as parents head back to work and the world becomes a little more normal. We are so excited to welcome some of our former students back to PWA along with lots of new faces!
Testing will continue next week, followed by enrichment and reinforcement activities in class–our students will keep learning right up until the end of the year! But the final week of school will also see class parties and fun activities, capped off by a field day on June 18th, the last day of the school year.
Summer camp will begin on June 21st for current PWA students, and we look forward to seeing many of you there! It promises to be an engaging and active summer, and we have lots of activities planned to keep students learning and having fun.

Testing went smoothly this week and will continue next week for all elementary students. Please continue to observe the following:
* Elementary students must be inside the building by 8:45 am so that testing can begin according to schedule. Students who arrive late may have to make up a test in progress at a later time.
* Make sure your student gets a good night’s sleep, and eats a healthy, hearty breakfast. Be sure to send students to school with ample snacks and water for the day.
Our Kindergarten graduation ceremony will take place Wednesday, June 16th at 6 pm in the gym. Our kindergartners will be busy this week practicing their songs with Mrs. Lindsay! We will send out details late next week about protocols, parking, and guests. We are so looking forward to this event!
Enrollment for our summer program is growing fast! Our camp calendars are below. Students will work on math and language arts in the mornings at their own level, whether they’re ready to get a jump start on their rising grade, or they need some reinforcement. In the afternoons, we have lots of fun with water play days, field trips, in-house visits and shows, and more!
