Week 17
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa!
Dear PWA Families,
We had an action-packed week here at school as we prepare for the holidays, and for the winter break! Students are decorating classrooms, and are planning fun activities for the upcoming week. Be on the lookout for info from your child’s teacher!
Next Friday, December 18th, will be Funky Sweater day at school. Students should pick out a wild sweater to wear to school–holiday-themed or otherwise.
If you haven’t yet, please be sure to sign up for our text message alert system. You’ll find instructions on how to do so below.
We hope you all enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend!

Happy Hanukkah to all our PWA families who are celebrating!
We are excited to share the news that Prince William Academy has received a generous grant from the Prince William County Department of Economic Development! This grant will allow us to perform upgrades, make repairs and enhancements to the school building, and initiate some exciting new projects for 2021. The Capital Investment and Innovation Grant recognizes local businesses for the work they’ve done to adapt to the new realities brought about by the pandemic. We are truly grateful and excited to be among the recipients! Work is already underway on some of our improvement projects, and we’ll provide updates on our progress in the new year. But in the meantime, we hope you share in our excitement!
Our current lunch menu and lunch packets can always be found in the buttons at the end of each weekly email. The lunch menu is also directly below.
If you send your child to school with lunch, please remember that we are an entirely nut-free school.
