Week 13
Beautiful fall colors abound
Dear PWA Families,
We had quite a week, with a break in the middle to honor our nation’s veterans. Students worked on science and social studies projects and got some quality time outdoors once the rain lifted.
Next week we have picture day on Monday–please be sure to get here on time so that we can start promptly at 9 am! Students should wear their uniforms, and we’ll make sure to photograph siblings together as well as separately. More information can be found below.
As you have likely heard, the Governor has issued a more stringent mask mandate and has limited gathering sizes in the state to 25. Thankfully, we’ve been implementing both here already. But it brings home the need for added vigilance, especially as Thanksgiving approaches. We hope all of our school families will take every precaution, and avoid large gatherings over the holidays. This vigilance is how we keep ourselves and one another safe amid rising case numbers. With winter and flu season nearing, it’s more important than ever to keep your child home if they exhibit any signs of illness. So far, our school parents have been so considerate and diligent in this regard, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
Have a wonderful weekend, PWA families!
Thank you, Veterans and your families, for your service and sacrifice!
Picture day is almost here! Monday, November 16th (this Monday!) our students will have their pictures taken by LifeTouch. Proofs will be available within 48 hours for purchase online, and you’ll receive instructions on how to find them.
Please dress students Jr K and up in their school uniforms.
Our current lunch menu and lunch packets can always be found in the buttons at the end of each weekly email. The lunch menu is also directly below.
If you send your child to school with lunch, please remember that we are an entirely nut-free school.

PWA distance learning student Aubrey Davis was named Eagle of the Month at her home school, Rockledge Elementary! Aubrey won this recognition for being kind and generous in her online classes, and for doing so well with her virtual learning, which she does from our virtual support classroom here at PWA. Congratulations, Aubrey–we’re so proud of you! You’re a superstar! And we’re grateful to our distance learning teacher Ms. Howard, who works hard to make sure Aubrey and her classmates at PWA get the support they need to succeed!
