Week 8
Mrs. Ajeroh’s 1st-grade class
Dear PWA Families,
What a beautiful week it has been, with perfect weather and lots of opportunities to enjoy it. Our students spent time outside this week decorating the sidewalks with chalk, playing on the playground, conducting science experiments, and going for walks. Thanks to PWA parent Jennifer Leopold, our gardens are looking well-groomed, and the kids have been enjoying late-season flowers, butterflies, and caterpillars
Monday, October 12th is a Professional Development Day here at PWA, and we will be closed for school. However, we will have childcare available for those who need it; please send an email to office@princewilliamacademy.com if you’d like for your child to attend for their regular hours.
We are looking forward to next week when we will add a new 4th/5th-grade classroom to our elementary wing. We’re thrilled to have Jalicia Lewis, who will be our teacher, back at PWA, and excited to welcome our newest students to our school. Our school continues to grow, and we are grateful to you for helping us spread the word. Many parents who’ve inquired about us this week said they heard about PWA from friends with children enrolled at our school! Thank you so much for the endorsement, and for entrusting us with your children.
We took lots of fun pictures this week of our science experiments and classroom activities. The kids are having a great time, and we can see their smiles, even though the masks!
Have a wonderful weekend, PWA Families!
Monday is a professional development day at PWA. Childcare is available for those who sign up by emailing the office. We will be closed for regular school and online school. Our distance learning program will be open for care.
Our current lunch menu and lunch packets can always be found in the buttons at the end of each weekly email. The lunch menu is also directly below.
If you send your child to school with lunch, please remember that we are an entirely nut-free school.

Please don’t forget to wear your mask at pickup and drop off, and anytime you’re in our parking lot!
Also, please remember that our students wear uniforms M-Th (light blue or white polo shirt with navy bottoms or jumper) and may wear what they like on Fridays. If you are in need of uniforms, please let us know. In a typical year, we’d have a uniform exchange set up in our hallways–kids grow so fast, and this is a great way to reduce what we buy and reuse items. We can’t do the exchange this year, but we do have lots of gently used uniforms. Just let us know if you’re looking for some and we’ll arrange for you to have a look.
