Week 15
This was a short week, but it was full of learning and activities! We held our Principal’s Scholar Awards this morning, for this month’s theme of “Citizenship.” Congratulations to our recipients, and thanks to their parents for attending the ceremony!
We jump right back into things when we return from the Thanksgiving break. We will begin collecting gift cards for our teachers’ holiday tree–you can drop them off in the basket at the front office. We’ll also have a Spirit Night at Chipotle on Wednesday, December 4th. More information can be found below.
Starting next week, you’ll find a box in the front lobby for a winter food drive. All students are encouraged to donate canned goods to be distributed to a local food bank this holiday season.

Join us for a fun-filled PWA Spirit Night on December 4th! Stop by the Chipotle in Merchant Plaza between 4 and 8 pm on Wednesday, Dec. 4th and show the flyer below. PWA will receive 33% of the proceeds from your order! This fundraiser supports the PTC’s technology initiative. We hope to see you there!

It’s almost time for us to begin our annual gift card drive for our teachers! Each year, we ask parents to bring in a gift card from a popular retailer or restaurant (Amazon, Target, Panera, etc) worth $10 to donate to our annual gift card tree for our teachers. At our staff holiday breakfast, our staff members will each choose two gift cards.
We’ll start taking donations December 2nd at the front desk. Thank you for spreading holiday cheer to our amazing teachers and staff!

Parents are encouraged to purchase lunch packets rather than single lunches–the price per lunch drops when you buy more at a time. If you want to purchase daily lunch for your child, the total cost is $80 per month.

Monday, Dec. 2 — Thursday, Dec. 19th: Teacher Gift Card Drive
Monday, Dec. 2: Canned food drive begins
Wednesday, Dec. 18: Holiday Program; times tbd
December 23 – January 3 Winter break. School closed. Childcare available Dec. 23, 24 (until 4 pm) 26, 27, 30, 31 (until 4 pm) Jan. 2, 3.
