March is Women’s History Month! Big thanks to Mrs. Wiggins for the beautiful artwork she created to help us celebrate.
Next week is Dr. Seuss week, and yes, we celebrate for all ages! Monday starts with Fox in Sox day–students should wear their craziest pair of socks to school. See below for activities for the rest of the week.
Science Fair preparations are still underway on the elementary side, and students should have decided on their projects and experiments by now.
Dr. Seuss Week is coming! National Read Across America day is March 2nd, and the following week we’ll celebrate with Seussian themes and fun:
Monday, March 4th: Fox in Socks! Wear a pair of wild or mismatched socks.
Tuesday, March 5th: Oh, the Places You’ll Go! Wear a shirt depicting your favorite place, somewhere you’ve been, or somewhere you hope to visit.
Wednesday, March 6th: PJ day! Wear pajamas, and bring your favorite book to school.
Thursday, March 7th: Thing 1 and Thing 2. Dress like a classmate, a teacher, or a sibling.
Friday, March 8th: The Cat in the Hat. Wear stripes, or your favorite hat. Or both!
The enrollment period for Girls on the Run will be open until March 11, and we need several more students to complete the team. Please consider enrolling your daughters from grades 3-7! The goal is to help girls become strong, confident, and healthy. Friends and sisters who don’t attend PWA can also join our team, so if you know someone who might be interested, please spread the word!

Have you tried the new MOD Pizza? Well, Sunday March 3rd is PWA Spirit Day! Stop by MOD Pizza in Smoketown Plaza anytime between 10:30 am and 10:00 pm, and PWA will recieve 20% of your purchase.

The PTC is planning a Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser for Saturday, March 23rd at the school! More details to come, but mark your calendars for this special family event!
Our annual Spring Concert is coming this month! On March 28th, students Jr K and up will perform songs they’ve been working on in music class with Ms. Noh. The Jr K and K will go on at 4 pm, and 1st – 8th will perform at 5 pm. Stay tuned for more details!
Heartfelt congratulations to the Yonas family on the arrival of baby Emmanuel! We’re so happy for you all, and can’t wait to meet him!
