We had a delightful week before winter break, with school parties, a lovely staff breakfast, and the Principal’s Scholar awards.
Congratulations to all of our Principal’s Scholar Award recipients, who were chosen this month for embodying the virtue of “Kindness.” We’re so proud of all of you!
We’d like to wish all of our PWA families a very happy holiday season, full of love, warmth, and joy. Thank you for sharing your precious children with us in 2018. We look forward to seeing the wonderful things 2019 will bring.
Sincere thanks to all who donated a gift card for our staff. They felt the love, and everyone enjoyed a chance to choose a card. Thanks also to the PTC, who put together this gift for the teachers and staff, and to Ms. Veronica, who served a lovely breakfast.
One of our favorite times of year is coming! January is International Month at PWA. All classrooms (including the preschool) have selected a country to learn about throughout the month. Students will learn about traditions, culture, cuisine, music, and more. The month leads up to International Day on Friday, February 1st. On that day, parents are invited to take a world tour with the students as they visit each “country.”
Check with your child’s teacher to determine which country has been chosen for the classroom. We welcome parent volunteers!
We’d like to send our warmest wishes to our Arabic teacher, Ms. Huda, who is now on maternity leave. We’ll all be thinking of you, Ms. Huda, and can’t wait to meet your baby boy when he gets here!
Congratulations to Elliott Simpson, who earned his black belt in Taekwondo last week! We’re so proud of you, Elliott.

Elem/Middle:
For students enrolled in BOTH before and aftercare: $30 per day
For students not enrolled in before AND aftercare: $50 per day
Preschool:
For students enrolled in BOTH before and aftercare: no charge
For students not enrolled in both before and aftercare: $30 per day
Starting in January, Coding with Kids will offer after school classes for kids K-5th grade! Classes include Minecraft Server Modding, and Robotics for Little Coders! See the flyer below for more information.
