Weekly PWA Family Email
Week 27
February 22nd, 2019

Our front entrance has a new look! Today we had a covering installed to help ward off the winter chill in the lobby.

This was another short week for our students, but we did manage to have some fun and get a lot of learning done. Students in the elementary and middle school have been formulating their science fair experiments, and working hard in the Spelling Bee Club, which ends next week. Our preschoolers have been keeping up with their languages and phonics, and the Jr K started working on their musical performances for the upcoming spring show.

Our elementary and middle school students are also about to start work on their own upcoming show, which will be a montage of snippets from Shakespeare. We look forward to seeing it, and will keep you posted.

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

It’s Science Fair Season at PWA! The students are in the planning stages now (grades 2-8). Each week, we’ll be sure to keep informed about the process.

Tuesday, each student should have a project in mind, and be prepared to describe it to their teacher.

Our Spelling Bee Club will meet for the final time next week. The final test will take place on March 11th, with an awards ceremony to follow on March 29th at 2 pm. Parents and family are welcome to attend!

One more week to go to help us raise some dough!

The PTC has extended its Krispy Kreme fundraiser through next week!

Monday, February 11th – Friday, March 1st

You can drop your orders off with your child’s teacher, or at the front desk. If you don’t have an order form or need another one, just let us know!

Doughnuts are $10/box, cash only, and will be delivered to the school on March 7th.

The enrollment period for Girls on the Run is still open, and we need several more students to complete the team. Please consider enrolling your daughters from grades 3-7! The goal is to help girls become strong, confident, and healthy. Friends and sisters who don’t attend PWA can also join our team, so if you know someone who might be interested, please spread the word!

Sign up by visiting the link in the flyer below. Practices will begin March 4th, and will be Mondays and Thursdays from 3:45 until 5 pm here at school.
