INFANT PROGRAM

INFANT PROGRAM:
6 WEEKS TO 16 MONTHS

Building Strong Foundations for Lifelong Learning

At Prince William Academy, our Infant Program is designed to provide a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for children aged 6 weeks to 16 months. We understand that this is a crucial time in your child’s development, and we are committed to offering personalized care that supports their physical, emotional, and cognitive growth.

Our infant room is thoughtfully designed with the needs of our youngest learners in mind. The space features comfortable furniture, natural wooden materials, and engaging equipment that reflects objects infants will encounter in their daily lives. This helps foster a sense of familiarity and security while introducing them to new experiences in a supportive setting.

A separate, private, and quiet sleep area ensures each infant has a peaceful and restful nap time, with soothing music played to help them feel comforted and relaxed. The eating area provides various seating options, including sturdy high chairs and child-sized tables and chairs. Infants are introduced to independent eating with plates, utensils, and cups designed for their developmental stage, helping foster self-sufficiency at mealtime.

Our spacious play area offers ample opportunities for movement and exploration, encouraging both gross and fine motor skill development. The area supports social interaction, cognitive development, and emotional growth, as infants begin to explore their surroundings and engage with peers.

At Prince William Academy, we recognize that infant learning is deeply influenced by relationships and context. Our loving teachers play a vital role in providing the interaction, support, and attention that infants need to thrive. Each infant receives personalized care with our 1:4 teacher-to-student ratio, ensuring that every child’s developmental needs are met with close attention and care. We work closely with parents to establish learning objectives for each child, and progress is reviewed twice a year during parent-teacher meetings. Our approach allows infants to develop at their own pace, with freedom within limits, in a nurturing and stimulating environment.

We also believe in the importance of open and frequent communication with parents. To keep you informed about your child’s daily activities, milestones, and development, we use a dedicated communication app. Through the app, parents receive regular updates, photos, and messages from teachers, ensuring that you are always connected and informed about your child’s experience at Prince William Academy.

We invite you to come and experience our Infant Program, where we provide a home-away-from-home environment filled with care, learning, and development for your little one.
