Week 30

We had a busy and exciting week at PWA. Spring weather is here, and it has been a joy for our students to get outside and soak up some sun! Our parking lot repairs are completed, and we now have additional spaces in the front and back of the building. In the coming weeks, we’ll be putting more fencing around the school and a gated barrier at the back entrance. We also have a new preschool playground coming, so stay tuned for updates!

Spring break comes up at the end of this month, and school will be out for the week of March 29th – April 2nd. We have a teacher workday on Monday, April 5th, so school will officially resume on April 6th. We will have childcare available during spring break, and there are fees associated with this on the elementary side, so please be sure to see the information below. Staffing is limited over spring break, and all attendees will need to be signed up in advance.

St. Patrick’s day is next Wednesday, and students are invited to wear green that day!

Registration for our Summer Enrichment Program and for the 2021-2022 school year are underway, and you can find more information below or reach out to Amanda Smyth for more information. We’re delighted and humbled that so many of our families plan on returning in the fall; we’re so grateful for your trust and happy that you’ve found a home with us at PWA.

Have a wonderful weekend, PWA families!

PWA will be open for childcare during spring break. We’ll do fun art and outdoor activities with the students during regular school hours. The cost is $50 per day for elementary students, and all participants must sign up in advance so we can staff accordingly. Please email the office at office@princewilliamacademy.com (mailto:office@princewilliamacademy.com?subject=Sign%20up%20for%20Spring%20Break) and let us know what days you’d like to bring your student. Thanks!
Summer camp is coming back! We look forward to a fun-filled summer this year full of learning and activities. Our summer camp always features math and language arts in the mornings, and exciting, theme-based activities in the afternoons. Please give us a call or email Amanda Smyth at asmyth@princewilliamacademy.com to register.

Summer camp is for rising K – rising 9th graders; preschool enrollment is year-round, and our preschoolers move up to their rising age group in the summer.

Our dear Mr. Bannerman is back in action and feeling much better, but medical bills from his prolonged stay in the hospital are a heavy burden. Our gofundme campaign is still going and accepting donations to help him and his beautiful family through this difficult time. Donations of any size are much appreciated!

Our current lunch menu and lunch packets can always be found in the buttons at the end of each weekly email. The lunch menu is also directly below.

If you send your child to school with lunch, please remember that we are an entirely nut-free school.
